Technologies

Prolite 66 Triple Butted Aluminum
We use our proven, incredibly light and durable PROLITE 66 (6066) for the production of high-end aluminum frames. It can be excellently processed with our hydroforming technology, enables the production of complex shapes with triple butted wall thicknesses, a look that is strongly reminiscent of carbon frames and the best possible stiffness-to-weight ratio. Although lower quality alloys are less expensive, PROLITE 66 is the optimal choice for our high-performance frames.

HFS-Hydro Forming System
Whether in terms of shape or wall thickness, we use various forms of processing to get the best out of an aluminum tube. The most complex, but also the most effective, is hydroforming. Here, the aluminum tube is placed in a negative mould and a hot emulsion of water and oil is pressed through it under pressure. The end result is a perfectly formed aluminum tube that allows us to produce beautifully shaped and lightweight aluminum frames.

X-TAPER HEADTUBE
Steering precision is crucial for safe and confident handling. With the X-TAPER HEADTUBE, we can significantly improve this precision. A larger headset diameter at the bottom and a smaller one at the top help to cope with the stresses that modern riding styles and equipment can put on the head tube without adding unnecessary weight. The X-TAPER HEADTUBE allows easy installation of tapered forks and ensures precise and confidence-inspiring steering behavior.

SMOOTH WELDING
We use this process to give our weld seams a beautiful, flat finish. In this way, we avoid the unsightly visual side effects associated with TIG welding. The welder passes the welding torch over the seam twice, smoothing out the filler material. This requires a great deal of skill, but results in extremely stable and elegant frames that look like carbon at first glance.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
In most of our frames, we route the shift and brake cables through the frame. They are either routed in and out through inconspicuous stops, or we use systems such as SMART ENTRY or WIRE PORT. The internal cable routing protects the shift and brake cables from the weather, ensures a clean, tidy look and also offers aerodynamic advantages.

Di2 ready
The Di2 electronic shifting system from Shimano offers fast, smooth and reliable shifting. It has proven to be the first choice for top performance road bikes in particular. For this reason, we have a wide range of high-performance road bike frames in our program that are Di2 READY and prepared for electric cables, batteries and other small adjustments that the system requires.

Racelite 61 Aluminum
We use at least 6061 grade aluminum for all our bikes, which is particularly well suited to our hydroforming and technoforming processes that allow us to vary the wall thickness to create double butted tubes and complex frame shapes. The alloy is also easy to weld. After being carefully heat-treated to maximize strength, we can use it to make strong, lightweight bike frames that are incredibly fun to ride.

F-Mount
The ability to convert your bike into a commuter bike with mudguards and other attachments to make it fit for all weather conditions can be a real plus. Especially if you regularly ride on wet and possibly muddy roads and paths. To make mounting easier in this case, some of our bikes are equipped with an F-MOUNT. With these integrated eyelets, mudguards can be mounted quickly and easily. Please note that some bikes require model-specific mudguards.

K-Mount
If you use your bike in an urban environment where there are no special bike racks or parking facilities everywhere, a kickstand is an ideal solution to park it safely. Some of our bikes are equipped with an integrated K-MOUNT, which makes it easier to mount a MERIDA kickstand (or a standard kickstand). And if you prefer the clean look of your bike and don’t want to use a kickstand, the K-MOUNT is well hidden under the chainstay and hard to spot if you don’t know it’s there.Integrated mounting base on the chainstay to accommodate a MERIDA kickstand.

C-Mount
similar to our F-MOUNT, which has various attachment points for mudguards on the frame, the bikes equipped with C-MOUNT already have the attachment points for a pannier rack integrated. This makes mounting quick, easy and reliable. The C-MOUNTS are an additional feature that improves the versatility of your bike in everyday life by providing additional load capacity: ideal for commuting and shopping trips. Please note that some bikes require model-specific luggage racks.

Casting Motor Bracket
The motor interface on the frame of an e-bike has such a sophisticated shape that it can only be achieved using casting technology. Casting this part allows us to create a complex yet lightweight mold that forms an extremely strong connection between the motor and the frame, improving performance and reliability. It also gives the bike and motor an elegant and clean look.

ENERGY CRADLE
ENERGY CRADLE is a unique, cradle-like shape of the down tube that allows the battery to sit in a specially shaped recess without the need for additional recesses in the down tube. In combination with an aluminum battery cover, the frame gives the impression of an integrated battery, but offers a much stiffer structure. This improves the handling of our step-through frame without compromising accessibility to the battery.
