Bosch Performance Line CX Gen.4 The Bosch Performance Line CX offers a unique eMTB experience: Compact, lightweight and with more power, it combines high-quality materials, an extremely powerful drive and high-end sensors. This brings eMountain biking on the trail to a whole new level. From model year 2021 with a torque of up to 85 Nm, new features in the motor control and a further development of eMTB mode – all as a software update. For a thrilling riding experience: more natural, intuitive and powerful and an absolute benchmark in its class.

What is new with the Bosch Performance Line CX engine Gen.4?

Performance upgrade and new features
A riding experience that sets the benchmark: From model year 2021, the Performance Line CX ensures even more riding enjoyment on the trail – with further developed software and a maximum torque of 85 Nm. The increased torque ensures greater performance, supporting you with even more power, especially in low cadences. In eMTB and Turbo mode, this leads to significantly faster acceleration and makes hill starts much easier. Thanks to a broader cadence range, unpredictable riding situations can be mastered even more effectively – for example in the case of late gear shifting or accelerating out of tight corners. Riding remains smooth and free from jolts, even when out of the saddle or in Turbo mode.

Next-level eMTB mode
The progressive riding mode for every occasion: Advanced eMTB mode ensures eMountain bikers are well-prepared for whatever riding situation the trail may have in store. New sensor and motor control functions give eMountain bikers a much wider range of dynamic and natural support. Riders continue to benefit from the proven technology of eMTB mode: Depending on pedal pressure, progressive motor support adapts perfectly to the riding situation. The improved adjustment of eMTB mode ensures optimum traction control in all gears and enables organic handling (AKA ‘power on demand’). Start-up behaviour is much finer and more sensitive – especially in low gears. Due to the increased torque, the drive unit supports an even wider cadence range.

Extended Boost
Extended Boost is the unrivalled function for negotiating exposed roots, steps and stones on the trail with ease, even uphill. The eMTB can be maneuvered with much greater agility and ease on technical sections. The unique dynamism means that obstacles can be overcome with ease by applying the right amount of pressure to the pedal. The pedals rarely, if ever, jam. The new, innovative function in eMTB mode can be controlled to optimum effect in all riding situations. If the front wheel is already on the step, a slight pedal pressure is all it takes to give the decisive “kick”. This takes pedal management to a whole new level.

For the ultimate Uphill Flow
For powerful eBiking in the mountains and on rough terrain: The eMTB mode of the Performance Line CX and Performance Line switches between the Tour and Turbo modes. To control the bike even on difficult sections, the further optimised eMTB Mode supports eMountain bikers with maximum sensitivity, allied with progressive power delivery: with a maximum torque of up to 75 Nm on the Performance Line and 85 Nm on the Performance Line CX and motor support between 140% and 340%. Depending on the pedal pressure applied, the motor dynamically boosts the rider’s own performance. The eBiker does not have to change the riding modes manually. Starting on steep slopes is no problem, while riding on mountain trails is noticeably easier and the eMountain biker benefits from significantly better traction. This provides a natural riding sensation and optimum performance on the trail.

Bosch LED remote

Optimal readability
For less distraction and more safety. All important information can be captured quickly and easily thanks to the LED remote. The LEDs are also highly visible in sunlight, and the brightness of the display adapts flexibly to the ambient light: This means that readability is maintained even in changing light conditions and you are never dazzled. You can also quickly recognise the selected riding mode by the respective colour.

Smart connectivity
Greater flexibility, comfort, and safety: The LED remote connects the eBike with the eBike Flow app. This enables you to call up all important riding data, such as the duration of your ride or the distance covered, using your smartphone and to share this with other users. It is also possible to carry out software updates independently.

Smart Walk Assist
Even on the steepest of trails, when riding is no longer an option, you can push your eBike more easily with the help of Walk Assist: Simply press the minus button, move the eBike and you will already feel the support. The LED remote also acts as your guide, making handling easier for you. Walk Assist is especially helpful when eMountain biking in challenging terrain.

Ergonomic handling
The LED remote can be individually adjusted to you and, in addition to an attractive design, boasts optimal ergonomics and intuitive operation. Thanks to the ergonomic ‘L’ design, the LED remote can be attached to the handlebar so that you can reach and operate all buttons perfectly with your thumb.

Sustainably on the move
Reach your destination safer and more sustainably: The long-life rechargeable battery of the LED remote means that you can rely on the control centre on every single eBike ride. If the battery does ever need to be replaced, it can be ordered by a specialist dealer because the next route is already waiting to be discovered!

Bosch batteries are an efficient, long-life energy source. Thanks to their enormous mileage, long service life and intelligent battery management system, Bosch lithium-ion batteries are among the most modern on the market. Bosch eBike rechargeable batteries combine low weight with ergonomic design and simple handling. The Battery Management System of the high-quality lithium-ion batteries detects potential sources of error and protects cells from overloading.

Bosch PowerTubes have the power to drive any ride and, thanks to their compact size and minimalist design, can be integrated with the eBike to ideal effect. There are two options for installing the battery: horizontal or vertical. New this year: PowerTube 400 and PowerTube 625. The sophisticated technology of the lithium-ion batteries that can be integrated within the frame ensures carefree riding enjoyment, while a safety catch prevents the battery from falling out even on challenging terrain. Nevertheless, the batteries can be removed with ease.

Outstanding battery efficiency
For maximum riding pleasure, lithium-ion PowerPacks demonstrably have maximum energy density with the smallest size and lowest weight on the market.

Simple to store and quick to charge
Modern Bosch lithium-ion batteries do not suffer from memory effect or self-discharge issues. Your battery will charge to 50% in about 2 hours, depending on the charger and PowerPack.

Ergonomic handling
It’s easy to remove and charge at home. The PowerPacks can also be conveniently charged directly on the bike.

No memory effect
Bosch batteries with lithium-ion cells can be charged quickly irrespective of your charge level at any time. Interruptions of the charging process do not harm the battery. Complete discharge is not required.

Extremely low self-discharge
Even after long periods of storage, e.g. over winter, the battery can be used without recharging. This means Bosch rechargeable batteries do not need to be recharged after a long break in use. For longer storage, a charge status of approx. 30 to 60% is recommended.

Long service life
Bosch batteries are designed for lots of trips, miles and years of service. The intelligent, electronic Bosch Battery Management System (BMS) protects lithium-ion batteries from extreme temperatures, overcharging, and excessive discharge.

	Bosch PowerTube 625 What more could you want? The PowerTube 625 lets you enjoy long and mountainous rides, while still reserving plenty of energy for every adventure. Thanks to a rated capacity of 17.4 Ah and approx. 625 Wh energy content, the lithium-ion battery brings maximum ranges and altitudes within your grasp. The well-secured PowerTube 625 will not fall out of its housing, even on demanding terrain. But is still easily removed.
